Walking Romes historic centre.
A new pedestrian precinct has been completed in the centre of Rome, just in time for Easter. The walk, which is one kilometre long, goes from the Largo Argentina along the Via dei Cestari to the Piazza della Minerva and the Pantheon, along Via degli Orfani, through the Piazza Capranica to the Via in Aquiro and ends at the Piazza di Montecitorio. The last part of the itinerary to be completed was the Piazza Capranica where, for the first time in many years, it is now possible to admire the church of S. Maria in Aquiro. The completed itinerary passes through some of the most beautiful squares and streets in the centre of Rome and particular attention has been paid to the lighting, the design of the newspaper kiosks, the benches and the rubbish bins.
