Tues 12 Oct marks World Arthritis Day. This year's theme is "early diagnosis" and sees a campaign by "People with arthritis / rheumatism in Europe" (PARE) with manifestos to rally national governments and policy makers to improve standards of care. It also aims to improve education to the general public regarding typical symptoms and regular check-ups. Arthritis is one of the most common long-term medical conditions in Europe, affecting more than 100 million people. For more information, www.paremanifesto.org.
