Abraham Lacalle Where nothing ever happens
22 Mar-May 2005.
A truly unique artistic experience awaits visitors to Madrids majestic Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofa while Abraham Lacalle is creating his Un lugar donde nunca sucede nada (Where nothing ever happens), an open-air fresco that the artist will be painting during the first three weeks of the performance. Up until 8 May the public can catch the artist at work as he crafts this living breathing piece in situ directly onto the walls of Space One at the Reina Sofa. Then, once the work is finished it will be destroyed. A living expression of Lacalles love of outdoor painting, this artistic experience will be the synthesis of his technique that is characterized by the interaction between space and architecture. The painting, occupying a five by ten metre wall, will consist of an iconographic sequence of six scenes or pieces.
