Nicholas Cullinan in conversation with Ester Coen
Nicholas Cullinan (BSR Rome Scholar 2004-05), currently curator of modern and contemporary art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, gives a lecture at the British School of Rome on Thursday 17 April, from 18.00-19.30.
Cullinan will focus on his time at the BSR and how that fed into his curation of the upcoming Matisse Cut-Outs exhibition at the Tate Modern (17 April-7 Sept) which focusses on the idea of the artist's studio.
The lecture is followed by a conversation about Matisse between Cullinan and noted Italian contemporary art historian Ester Coen, who will curate the exhibition Matisse Arabesque at Rome's Palazzo delle Esposizioni next spring.
