Albert Einstein - Chief Engineer of the Universe.

16 May-30 Sept 2005. This year Germany is marking the 100th anniversary of Albert Einsteins Theory of Relativity with Einstein Year 2005 with a series of exhibitions, programmes, events and tributes to one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century. One of the highlights is the Max Planck Society exhibition "Albert Einstein Chief Engineer of the Universe". The exhibition looks at the scientific revolution set in motion by Einstein the scientist, as well as Einstein the man. The organisers have gone out of their way to make the exhibition accessible to a wide audience. Einstein Year 2005 is a joint initiative of the German Government and German scientific, industrial and culture institutions. In 1905, Albert Einstein published five essays one after the other, which revolutionised our conceptual understanding of space, time, matter and energy. Tickets cost 7, 3 with concessions, and free for under 12s.
