Rome's bi-annual fashion week AltaRomAltaModa, which opens on 30 Jan, showcases the best in Italian and international fashion and is an important platform for younger stylists.

This year the fashion show moves from its former base at S. Spirito in Sassia near the Vatican to the MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo and a venue outside the nearby Auditorium Parco della Musica in the Flaminio district.

Established in 1998, the Rome fashion week presents two annual collections, in July and January, and is chaired by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the boss of Italian fashion house Fendi.
