Arazzeria Pennese
23 June-3 Sept. The tapestries on display in this exhibition include works by Giacomo Balla and Afro, alongside new creations by contemporary artists Alberto Di Fabio, Matteo Nasini, Marco Tirelli and Costas Varotsos.
The show also features preparatory material relating to a tapestry, currently in progress, by Andrea Mastrovito, which will be presented at the end of the exhibition to coincide with a contemporary tapestry conference.
The tapestries were woven in the Arazzeria Pennese, a well-known traditional workshop in a town in the province of Pescara.
