Art from the Heart: raising funds for Rome's homeless
26 Sept-3 Oct. Art from the Heart, an exhibition raising funds for Rome's homeless, has been organised by Project Rome and will be hosted at the Crowne Plaza Rome – St Peter’s Hotel from 26 September until 3 October.
Organisers describe the show as "Rome’s first art exhibition displaying works both from those living in extreme poverty, or homeless and from practicing artists." The show will include more than 50 paintings, drawings, photographs and sculpture.
Project Rome says the fund-raising exhibition is designed to blend social boundaries and eliminate pre-conceptions and negative attitudes towards homeless and those living at the extreme end of poverty.
Project Rome is a self-financing initiative to encourage and inspire kindness, love, compassion to those who need it most. The voluntary organisation was established by British born Mary Stuart-Miller and Steven Barnes, and has the support of an expanding group of multi-national individuals.
