27-30 Dec. Aslan, who take their name from the lion character in C.S. Lewis Narnia series of books, is a Dublin rock band regularly featuring in the Top 5 of the Irish charts. Hailing from the working class areas of Finglas and Ballymun in Dublin's Northside in the mid 1980s Aslan recently released 'Crazy World' and dedicated the song to the victims of Russias Beslan school disaster. The charity single was written by Christy Dignam who offered the song to anyone willing to donate the proceeds to the To Russia with Love charity. Playing every night from 27 to 30 December at the Vicar, as well as the regular night time performances the band is doing a special for all ages matinee show on 29 December.
