Austrian cinema festival in Rome
27 June-12 July. A free open-air festival of new Austrian cinema is taking place in the gardens of the Austrian Cultural Forum, in the Valle Giulia area, until mid-July.
The programme of the Sotto le stelle dell’Austria opens on 27 June with Egon Schiele: Tod und Mädchen introduced by its director Dieter Berner, followed with Siebzehn by Monja Art (28 June), Safari by Ulrich Seidl (4 July), Liebe möglicherweise by Michael Kreihsl (5 July), Die Nacht der 1000 Stunden (11 July), and ending on 12 July with Vor der Morgenröte by Maria Schrader.
All films shown at 21.00 in original language versions with Italian subtitles. For details see website.
