Balanescu Quartet is one of the top contemporary quartets, founded in 1987 by Romanian violinist and composer Alexander Lanescu. Composer Luigi Cinque has worked with almost everyone who counts in the world of contemporary music, dance, drama and cinema in Italy and abroad. His latest work, the film Transeuropae Hotel, is set between Italy and Brazil and tells the story of what happens when a group of musicians meets in a Sicilian hotel to practise for a tournee. This concert at Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti is in collaboration with the Incontri Festival and Le Vie dei Festival.
