Balletto del Teatro dellOpera.
5-10 April 2005. In The Firebird, choreography by Michel Fokine. The ballet on music by Stravinsky was first produced in 1910 by Diaghilevs company. Although almost grotesquely outdated, the ballet is an interesting period piece (it originally featured the great ballerina Tamara Karsavina and Fokine himself), complete with costume designs by Leon Bakst.
