Balletto del Teatro dellOpera di Roma.
1-5 March 2006. In Giselle, choreography by Coralli/Pierrot. The role of Giselle is one of the greatest challenges romantic ballet offers a ballerina. The character passes from the joy of a simple country girl head-over-heels in love with a young man she has met in the village, to the torment and anguish of the famous "mad scene" that ends in her death. The big challenge for the ballerina lies in her ability to distinguish between the two acts of the ballet, to draw the demarcation between flesh and spirit, substance and shadow.
