3 May. Rome's Caravita community presents Banded in a Great Crusade: The British Clergy and the First World War, a talk by Irish historian Edward Madigan, at 18.30 on Wednesday 3 May.
A lecturer in Public History and First World War Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, Madigan's research combines cultural, religious and military history. He is particularly interested in British identity and culture in wartime, and the British and Irish experience and memory of the Great War.
The event, which is open to all and is followed by a reception, will be held at Via Caravita 7, off Via del Corso.
