10 Oct-10 Jan. The New York-based Kosovan artist Sislej Xhafa drew on personal experiences to create this boat-shaped installation of abandoned shoes to reflect an exodus of immigrants and refugees.
Xhafa's work addresses the current immigration emergency in the Mediterranean region, in particular the refugee landings at Lampedusa.
