Be My Valentine: Queer Short Films at British School at Rome
Rome film screening: St Valentine’s Day LGBTQ+ Short Films.
14 Feb. The British School at Rome hosts a special Valentine’s soirée to launch its annual LGBT+ minifestival with an eclectic selection of queer shorts from Italy, the UK and the Commonwealth.The screenings will be followed by a Q&A session with artist Topher Campbell, author of Fetish (2018) and Francesco Ventrella (University of Sussex; BSR).
Documentary, docufiction, fiction and art videos explore a variety of themes, ranging from intersectional identities, desire, sex, nudity and storytelling.
The films include Day Dream (UK) by Stephen Isaac-Wilson; Balcony (UK) by Toby Fell-Holden; A Spanking Ode (Italy) by Diego Tigrotto; I Hate Pink! (Italy) by Margherita Ferri; P.O.W. (Italy) by Werther Germondari & Maria Laura Spagnoli; You Will Be Free (UK) by Juliet Jacques; and Fetish (UK) by Topher Campbell.
