Two main events are happening this week in Rome: rain and elections for the mayor. We are undecided about what to wear every day (umbrella and sunglasses) and who’s gonna be the best mayor for the eternal city. Most of the clubs are already organizing their summer events in new locations so not so many parties are going on this weekend.

Thursday:

‘Ultrabeat’ closing night presents Loco Dice (Ger), best way to close the winter/spring season. He published on Sven Vath’s Cocoon, Richie Hawtin’s M_nus, and he will be the resident DJ for the ‘Used+Abused’ nights at Ushuaia in Ibiza (starting this next Saturday). Friday:

Delano Smith (USA) is the guest of ‘Loop the Loop’ night at Lanificio 159. He will play his house and techno only like in Detroit can do. Record Label: Apparel Music.

Tramp crew also organize their winter closing party at Circolo Poligrafico with Italian DJs (DJ Crime, Trufo, Del Grosso) performing house and techno music.

Saturday:

Best event on Saturday (not with a famous DJ but usually they are fun parties) will be Jungle Party at Chalet with dress code mandatory (jungle obviously). Details at www.thejungleparty.com.

Over all the weekend (from 23th to 26th) Brancaleone will hosts 13^th edition of LPM (Live Performers Meeting) with hundred of artists coming from all over the world: DJs and visual artists presenting their works. Electronic DJs will come from Robot (Bologna) and Electrode (Rome) festivals, so guarantee of good music. 

Then I suggest two opening summer places (from aperitif til late): La Bibliotechina will open again this Friday inside Parco del Turismo (EUR area, south Rome) and on Saturday Caffè degli Orti will propose lounge and house music on Saturday (ponte milvio area, north Rome).

Even if it’s a transient weekend (and not the best for big names), you still have some places to go to.
