16-18 Sept 2004. In Another Evening, choreography by Bill T. Jones, for Romaeuropa Festival. Bill T. Jones and Arnie Zane founded this multicultural company in 1982. Since then, the 11-member group has performed its ever-growing repertoire in over 30 countries; its work has often been described as a fusion of dance and theatre. The dances vary in subject matter and visual imagery, and often have a strong socio-political slant. The company itself is diverse and exciting, with the HIV-positive Jones often on stage in some of its most moving moments. Another Evening is a new project, especially created for Rome. Romaeuropa Festival continues until 28 Nov with an interesting line-up of events including Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui/Les Ballets C de la B, Emio Greco/pc, Societas Raffaello Sanzio, Ping Chong in Undesirable Elements and many more.
