British School at Rome
5-31 Oct. Possible Encounters, an exhibition of new photographic works by the Belfast-born photographer Felix Davey, is part of this year's edition of the FotoGrafia international festival of Rome, while the opening takes place on the occasion of the Giornata del Contemporaneo. The exhibition comprises portraits, landscapes and still lifes that address ideas of time, family, intimacy, personal environment and the act of thinking.
Oct 2013-Dec 2015. Meeting Architecture is a programme of lectures, study-exhibitions and performances by leading figures in architecture, art, film and music. The series examines the nature of collaboration between architecture and other creative processes. In the first appointment of the series 29 Oct-19 Nov the British School at Rome presents a conversation and study-exhibition entitled Madame Wu and the Mill from Hell by Anglo-Canadian architect Adam Caruso and German artist Thomas Demand who have worked together on a number of projects. The event begins on 29 Oct at 18.00. The programme also reflects the multi-disciplinary nature of the British School at Rome and some of the city's other foreign academies which host scholars and professionals from a wide range of disciplines.
