Burns Day in Rome
26 Jan. The cultural association Il Gerbillo Furioso celebrates Burns Day with an evening of poetry by Scotland's Robert Burns, as well as bagpipe music and Scottish food.
Widely regarded as Scotland's national poet, Burns (1759-1756) wrote in the Scots language as well as English. He is perhaps best known for composing Auld Lang Syne, traditionally sung to welcome in the new year.
The Rome event includes a meal, which costs €10 excluding drinks, and booking is essential. For more info or to make a reservation, call Marco tel. 3277614420, or see the Facebook page.
