20 Dec. This concert is part of the Accademia Filarmonica Romana’s sophisticated chamber music season offering a rare performance of music by Bach and Biber inside the Basilica di S. Lorenzo in Lucina.

The concert is by the acclaimed Cappella Augustana ensemble conducted by Matteo Messori with the participation of violinist Lina Tur Bonet. Cappella Augustana was founded in 2000 by the harpsichordist and organist Matteo Messori to deepen the study of the relationships between Italy and other European countries (many of which were of the Protestant creed) during the late Renaissance and the baroque era.
