Carla Accardi was one of the members of Forma Uno, the group of Italian pioneers of Abstraction born after world war two. One of the strongest of Italian women painters, she is still sturdily developing her style. Here she shows bold new canvases, neat and sober. In them she elaborates on her basic premise, the nature of the painterly mark. Edith Schloss.
