Carnevale Bestiale
The Bioparco of Rome will celebrate a "Carnevale Bestiale" for three consecutive Sundays in February. On Sun 12 Feb and Sun 19 Feb, children can participate in workshops and games familiarising them with Italian wildlife facing extinction and the importance of recycling as well as other activities such as face painting. Staff will distribute a pamphlet with instructions on how to create an animal costume for carnevale with recycled materials like plastic bottles and old clothes. The choice of costumes represents the native animals found in the Bioparco: wolf, bear, eagle, owl, tortoise, butterfly, spider and tree frog. On Sun 26 Feb all children wearing their "ecological" masks can enter the Bioparco free of charge and participate in the grand finale party. 9.30-17.00, 8.50 adults, 6.50 concessions.
