19, 20 Nov 2005. In Heil Tanz!, choreography by Caterina Sagna. Sagnas beginnings were with the Compagnia Sutki of Turin and then with Carolyn Carlsons company where she worked for seven years. During the same period she performed in a number of shows by Jorma Uotinen and started producing her own choreographies. In 1987 she founded Compagnia Nadir. In 2000, Associazione Compagnia Caterina Sagna was established. In June 2002, Caterina Sagna received the prestigious SACD "Nouveau talent chorgraphique" prize in Paris. Heil Tanz! is a provocative and irreverent show exploring the dangerous relation between art (and dance, in particular) and power. Sagna intends the work to be an abrupt awakening from a collective slumber that ascribes autonomy and freedom to modern dance, while violence, abuse of power, and totalitarianism insinuate themselves in the body and its language.
