Cinema under the stars in Rome
2 June-30 July. Piazza S. Cosimato in the Trastevere district becomes a free open-air cinema this summer, from 2 June until 30 July.
For 60 nights the public can enjoy a diverse programme of films featuring everything from Disney classics and Charlie Chaplin silent movies, to films by the Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Zemeckis.
The screenings take place at 21.15, in Italian, and each Thursday and Friday evening the festival is enlivened by debates with artists, writers and film critics.
The Festival Cinema Trastevere is organised by the Piccolo Cinema America with the support of the city. For full programme see website.
