Compagnie Salia Ni Seydou. 16-17 March 2004. In Weeleni, lappel, choreography by and with Salia Sanou, Seydou Boro, Ousseni Sako. This is a piece for three dancers and four musicians all of them from the west African country of Burkina Faso. Co-produced with French organisations, the artists aim to break down the prejudice that excludes serious and original work from developing nations from the contemporary dance scene. And they certainly deserve to do so with this strong, courageous and original piece of work.
