The three films are all related to Edith Schloss, albeit in a different way. The first, made by Rudy Burckhardt in 1953, is a humorous story of magic in the style of silent movies of the early twentieth century, where Edith plays the part of a whimsical lady. The other two films are by Jacob Burckhardt, Rudy and Edith’s son, and portray respectively Rome (the city where Edith lived for fifty years, and the subject of the covers she curated for “Wanted in Rome”), and Edith’s apartment in Via del Corallo – illustrated by Edith herself.
