Daniele da Volterra: I dipinti d'Elci
17 Feb-7 May. Exhibition showcasing two paintings by Daniele da Volterra (1509-1566), the Mannerist Italian artist who is best known for painting vestments and fig-leaves over genitals in Michelangelo's Last Judgement fresco in the Sistine Chapel.
The two works on display - Elijah in the desert and Madonna with Child, Sts Giovannino and Barbara - were created in Rome in the mid-16th century.
The works are normally preserved in Siena and are rarely shown to the public.
Galleria Corsini is one of the few Rome museums to open on a Monday.
