Day 1 at Rome's Irish Film Festa 2018
Rome's IRISH FILM FESTA is dedicated entirely to Irish cinema.
21 March. The 11th edition of the Irish Film Festa opens at 20.00 on Wednesday 21 March, with a welcome by Ireland's ambassador to Italy, Colm Ó Floinn. This is followed by the festival's opening film: Handsome Devil (2016, John Butler, 90'), a delicate coming-of-age story set in university, between study, rugby and personal awakening. The movie is preceded by the short film The Date.
The Irish Film Festa is based at Rome's Casa del Cinema, in the Via Veneto corner of Villa Borghese, and runs until 25 March. For full details see Irish Film Festa website.
