28 April. Rome's oldest Irish pub, the Fiddler's Elbow, presents an evening of discussion, poetry and song in commemoration of Ireland's 1916 Rising on Thursday 28 April at 19.00.
The event will feature presentations by Prof. John McCourt, Prof. Mícheál MacCraith and the Irish ambassador to Italy, Bobby McDonagh, who will read the 1916 Proclamation. This will be followed by songs, poetry, letter readings and anecdotes relevant to 1916. For more details see the Facebook event page.
