Observant Rome residents may notice a subtle lunar eclipse at 01.50 on the night between 18 and 19 October.
The eclipse involves the "Hunter's Moon" being partially shaded by the earth's prenumbral shadow.
The event will be most visible in Europe and Africa because the full moon will be high in the sky as the eclipse occurs.
