Elisabetta Catalano at MAXXI
3 April-22 Dec. Rome's MAXXI pays homage to Elisabetta Catalano (1944-2015), a Roman fine-art photographer who specialised in portraits.
The exhibition features slides, photos and vintage prints, investigating in particular the relationship between Catalano's photography and performance art, presenting portraits of artists such as Joseph Beuys, Vettor Pisani and Cesare Tacchi (pictured) during the preparatory phases of the performative process.
