Empire State. New York Art Now
The 25 established and emerging artists in this exhibition come from different age groups but are united by their home town, New York. Curated by Norman Rosenthal and Alex Gartenfeld, the exhibition reflects on the rapid development of New York over the past five decades and how this has presented new possibilities and challenges for the visual arts. Technology and abstraction feature in the work of all the participating artists, from Dan Graham's mirrored pavilions to the Antiquity sculptures by Jeff Koons.
