Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained is currently on show in its original language version at the Nuovo Olimpia. The controversial director's violent homage to the spaghetti western genre received its European premiere in the Italian capital in early January, as part of the Rome Film Festival.
With the help of a German bounty hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner. Starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson.
The Guardian said: "Tarantino returns dizzily to form with a horribly funny slavery western – and Samuel L Jackson is extraordinary as the ultimate Uncle Tom."
