Conducted by Jean-Philippe Wurtz. Music by Bartok, Eotvos, Berio. Born in 1968, Jean-Philippe Wurtz studied at the Conservatoire National de Région in Strasbourg, where he was awarded premiers prix in piano, chamber music, analysis, harmony, and counterpoint. He continued his studies with Ernest Bour before entering the International Eotvos Institute for advanced training with the composer Peter Eotvos.

In 1998 he founded the Ensemble Linea which is a keen supporter of young composers through its policy of commissions and workshops, and collaborates with most of today’s leading composers. Ever since its early days, the ensemble has worked with Peter Eotvos, to whose music it devoted its most recent CD. Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti.
