Esposizione Universale Roma
Under the subheading Una città nuova dal fascismo agli anni ’60, this exhibition traces the history of the south Rome suburb EUR, from its fascist-era beginnings as the E42 project, to its role as a modern residential and business district by the 1950s.
Curated by Vittorio Vidotto, the exhibition displays archive photographs and film footage of artists, architects and planners involved in the ambitious urban project, whose progress was stifled by world war two, as well as documenting the district's subsequent transformation during the post-war years.
