European Balloon Festival
6-10 July 2005.
Every year some 40 hot air balloons from around the world take to the sky in the Catalonian town of Igualada, in one of the biggest balloon festivals in Europe. Last year international media and 30,000 spectators watched the 40 balloons inflate and fill the sky with a broad spectrum of colours. The festival also boars other activities, such as market stalls featuring local varieties of food, amusement parks and fairgrounds, and open air concerts with local bands.
