8 May. The EU has declared 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage. This initiative was launched in Milan and all over Europe, with events emphasising European heritage and related values.
European Parliamant member Silvia Costa and Special Advisor to the European Commission, Pier Luigi Sacco, will introduce the Roman public to the EU initiative at Rome’s Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana at 17.30 on 8 May.
Italy’s former culture minister Massimo Bray and the director of the Brussels Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Paolo Grossi, will present a special edition of Cartaditalia, which is dedicated to the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
Exquisitely edited, Cartaditalia is a quadrilingual publication (Italian, French, German and English) that maps contemporary culture. Professor Sacco curated this special edition: in two volumes, he has collected 25 interesting articles written by scholars and experts from all over Europe.
Cartaditalia is a most useful guide to an equally appealing initiative. For event details see website.
