This Friday we're going to watch 'fantasmi a Roma', a 1961 Italian excellent comedy film directed by Antonio Pietrangeli, starring Marcello Mastroianni, Vittorio Gassman, Sandra Milo and Eduardo De Filippo.
This is a delightful film which, as with the best of the commedia all'Italiana, masks some incisive comments about Italian society under its amiable exterior.
There's some rambling series of comic, tragic and even surrealistic vignettes.
It will be shown in Italian with English subtitles.
