Felicity Clear - Dirty Pretty Things (Painting)
3-26 March 2005.
Felicity Clear often likes to look at our perceptions and feelings towards the world we live in and how we relate to it, questioning traditional theories or accepted dogmas. Her work consistently blurs ideas, images, text, print, through a free-form use of colour. Dirty Pretty Things is the artists reaction to concerns about survival in a rapidly shifting urban space, the overload of information we face and the increasingly random and haphazard way in which we increasingly receive information. It also looks touches on issues of belief such as our replacement of ideology or religion, and conversation with consumerism. Felicity Clear has exhibited widely in Ireland, the UK, Germany and Poland.
