12-24 Sept 2006. The universe of tango moves momentarily from Buenos Aires to Rome for a world class festival of dance, music and culture. The Fondazione Musica per Roma and Rome city authorities have collaborated with their counterparts in the Argentinian capital to organise the first edition of the festival that features some of the best-known dancers, singers and musicians on the scene today. For nearly two full weeks every nook and cranny of Romes Auditorium will resound with the rhythm of tango and the haunting voice of the bandoneon, as performances, concerts, dance courses, workshops and exhibitions take place. An Argentinian restaurant and a milonga where everyone can try their steps brings the fire and the passion of tango dancing to all.
