This is the 25th edition of Romes successful contemporary music festival. The festivals director is contemporary music composer Ada Gentile, who has drawn up a programme of five concerts in collaboration with the embassies of Holland, the United States and Croatia, and with the support of the American and Hungarian Academies which host the events. The central theme of this years programme is music by small ensembles. Eleven of the works have been especially commissioned for the occasion.
