28 June-27 July 2004. This year the festival, which aims to nurture and spread contemporary music, mourns the death of two of its great protagonists, Goffredo Petrassi and Luciano Berio, both of whom participated in the making of this event organised by the Campus Internazionale di Musica. Tributes to the two composers will feature in the programme, but the formula remains unchanged with a cycle of weekend concerts in the historic sites of Sermoneta and the Abbey of Fossanova, plus a cycle of events with masterclasses and recitals especially dedicated to young musicians in and about Fondi. As always, musicians Heinz and Ursula Holliger are present to play and to teach, as well as Bruno Canino, Peter-Lukas Graf and Charles Rosen.
