Fried fish festival returns to Fiumicino on Rome coast.
14-16 June. The Sagra del Pesce, or Fish Festival, returns to the coastal town of Fiumicino outside Rome from 14-16 June.
Now in its 49th edition, the annual culinary festival dedicated to fish, particularly the fritto variety, is open each night from 18.00 until 23.00.
The event involves shrimp and squid being fried in a giant pan and distributed to spectators on Friday and Saturday evening from 20.00, and on Sunday from 18.00 until all eaten.
