13-23 Sept 2005. This is a festival produced by the foundation Musica Per Roma, in collaboration with a number of Spanish institutes. It focuses on the three essential categories of Flamenco: El cante traditional flamenco singing; el toque guitar music accompanied by the rhythm of hands and feet; el baile dance. These form an inseparable trilogy just as parar, templar and mandar does for bull fighters. If you missed the grand opening in July with dancer Eva Yerbabuena, you can still catch the Gerardo Nunez Quinteto (22 Sept) and Carmen Linares with Gerardo Nunez Trio (23 Sept).
