The fourth edition of Floracult, the popular floral and amateur gardening festival, takes place in the La Storta area of north Rome from 26-28 April, from 10.00-19.00.
Over 100 exhibitors from all over Italy are participating in this year's event whose theme is the garden as a place of globalisation and integration.
The three-day festival in Casali del Pino brings together Italy's horticultural experts and the latest gardening trends and is organised by fashion designer Ilaria Venturini Fendi and landscape designer Antonella Fornai.
This year's festival includes tastings of exotic fruit from Sicily, advice on the healing properties of Aloe and even a display about the emotional responses of plants. There is also a wide range of flowers and plants – many of them rare – and garden furniture.
There is ample parking at the venue while those who wish to travel by public transport can avail of the Floracult shuttle bus from La Storta station on 27-28 April from 10.00-19.00.
Admission is €8; children aged 6-12 €5; children under six go free.
