Florence Henri
5 May-31 Aug. An exhibition dedicated to the pioneering photographer and artist Florence Henri (1893-1982) is on show at the Baths of Diocletian.
Born in New York, Henri grew up in Europe and studied in Rome, Berlin, Paris and finally at the Dessau Bauhaus before returning to Paris where she launched her career in photography.
Her work includes experimental photography, advertising and portraits. The Rome exhibition presents photographs taken during her travels in Italy between 1931 and 1932, many of which capture the capital's ancient sites, in particular the Roman Forum.
