Fourth of July in Rome
On Saturday 4 July the American International Club of Rome (AICR) holds its annual American Independence Day Celebration for Americans and international friends of America in Rome from 17.00 until dusk, at Marymount International School on Via di Villa Lauchli. Advance ticket purchase is necessary by Thursday 2 July. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The family-friendly open air event includes children’s games, a raffle and live music. A barbeque with American food and beverages will be held throughout the evening, which ends with a sparkler finale. For full details including prices see the AICR website.
There will also be activities taking place that day at city centre venues frequented by Americans in Rome such as the Abbey Theatre and Scholars Lounge, while the Hard Rock Cafe is holding a Rock in the USA event with a special Independence Day menu, rock n'roll music and DJ sets.
Another fun way to celebrate the day is by enjoying a taste of American cuisine at restaurants such as The Perfect Bun and Smoke Ring.
The American embassy in Rome will be closed on 4 July.
