Fourth of July in Rome
On Saturday 5 July the American International Club of Rome (AICR) holds its annual American Independence Day Celebration for all Americans and international friends of America in Rome from 17.00 until dusk. Advance ticket purchase is necessary by Friday 4 July until 12.00. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The family-friendly open air event includes children's games, a raffle and live music. A barbeque with American food and beverages will be held throughout the evening, which ends with a sparkler finale. For security reasons the exact address and location will be provided after ticket purchase. However, organisers say the party will be in the vicinity of Via di Villa Lauchli. For full details including prices see the AICR website.
There will also be activities taking place that day at city centre venues frequented by Americans in Rome, including the Abbey Theatre and Scholars Lounge, while the Hard Rock Cafe is serving a special Independence Day menu all day and will have DJ sets, bands and karaoke.
Another great way to celebrate the day is by enjoying a taste of American cuisine at restaurants such as The Perfect Bun, T-Bone Steakhouse, and Smoke Ring.
The American embassy in Rome will be closed on 4 July.
