Francesco Trombadori: L’essenziale verità delle cose
13 Oct-11 Feb. Rome’s municipal modern art gallery on Via Francesco Crispi
examines the close connection between Sicilian-born painter Francesco Trombadori (1886-1961) and his adopted Rome. The 60 paintings on display, painted between 1915 and 1961, span the career of Trombadori who was a prominent figure in the Scuola Romana art movement.
The exhibition also includes drawings, catalogues and newspaper articles from the artist's archives, housed in his former studio at Villa Strohl-Fern.
